We actually celebrated Mardi Gras at work for three weeks by taking turns making or bringing King Cakes to share. After we moved away in '89, a friend Fed Ex'ed us a King Cake every year for about 5 years. I really enjoyed New Orleans because of its mixture of cultures. Gary has loved jazz all his life so he volunteered to DJ a radio program on WWOZ for 7 years. Two of our kids returned to LA so our first two grandchildren were born there though they have since moved away. But we go back every year on business and love it!KarenQuilthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12883452794136245078noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13578815.post-10155299896088158382012-02-21T17:59:06.954+00:002012-02-21T17:59:06.954+00:00LOVE the picture of the dog with his hat on xxLOVE the picture of the dog with his hat on xxDiane-crewehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13879911622708138774noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13578815.post-71346106872942129452012-02-21T17:20:19.917+00:002012-02-21T17:20:19.917+00:00Never had King Cake until last year.... very yummy...Never had King Cake until last year.... very yummy!Impera Magnahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00889488057400766469noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13578815.post-3395897296546569192012-02-21T15:24:26.724+00:002012-02-21T15:24:26.724+00:00I'm in Utah--I went to a big President's D...I'm in Utah--I went to a big President's Day sale at a local store yesterday and in the midst of the craziness I noticed all of the employees in the crowded place were indentifiable by the Mardi Gras beads they were wearing!Janet O.https://www.blogger.com/profile/05083607398709252597noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13578815.post-28832142739136163402012-02-21T15:05:44.178+00:002012-02-21T15:05:44.178+00:00Have fun celebrating today!
