I started this Baltimore Album quilt in a year long class with Mimi Dietrich back in 1992. I lived in Baltimore so it seemed like the right thing to do!
Anyway, over the course of a year my fabric choices changed significantly and after my "real" quilt was finished I had almost a dozen blocks that didn't make the cut. They traveled with me for many years.
Last year when I was packing to move I debated letting them go but instead they went to the top of the "to-do" list! This is hand appliqued, hand and machine pieced, and hand quilted.

Awww, Goldie! She's an oldie..my Fang is 16 and I always worry about him, especially when I'm gone. He's not sociable so whoever takes care of him for me never sees him. Hope he makes it to 18. Glad you got your oldie quilt finished..beautiful.

ReplyDeleteI looked up Renninger's (you mentioned you lived near there on an earlier post). Are you near Melbourne or Mt. Dora? We visit Mt. Dora every other year renting in The Villages. In April we rented from a gal who owns the boutique in Mt. Dora (on Main Street - can't think of the name right now) Anyway, love that little town. I will contact you when we come down again (not in 2019 though). Hope you are feeling well and Florida agrees with you!
