As expected I still have a lot of Halloween candy left over. I am amazed how polite the children were last night. I told one group they could take more and the little vampire replied, "my Mum says we are not to be greedy." I tossed a few more candies in his bag.
The remainder of the candy went into work with my DH today. I started losing my diet resolve last night and don't need the temptation on the sideboard! I'm going to wait a few days before taking down the decorations. I don't really have Thanksgiving decorations and my Dh complains if I put up my Christmas decorations too early....(though I can't get him to define what too early really is!)
Today is a clean the house day...yikes. I also have to box up some Christmas gifts that have to be mailed half-way around the world. Ever feel like your to-do list is multiplying all on its own! If I dont' get some of it done however I can't go to the quilt show tomorrow up in Malvern tomorrow (incentive!)

I'm so-o-o anxious to get my Christmas decorations up! My DH thinks I do it too early also, but I like to take it all down on Dec. 31st. So if I don't get it all up early, there's not enough time to enjoy all that hard work! That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
I'm so sorry your hubby is a scrooge when it comes to Christmas decorations. Mine says that as long as Halloween has come and gone, I'm allowed to pull the Christmas stuff out. I can't wait. I think I'll do it this weekend or next.
I had only one pair of visitors last night and they choose fruit over sweeties!
I too have to get boxes ready to fly across the world. It's fun doing it though. For me too early is before my babys birthday, I never put decorations up before 10th December I would hate for his special day to be lost amid Christmas. And Hunneys birthday is 5th January!
Enjoy Malvern you lucky girl!!!
That's a cute display, but the thing I really like is the sideboard which looks like a beautiful piece of furniture. I am just binding Christmas wall-hanging and quilting another, so I think once they are finished they might go up ad start of the decorating. I don't normally put anything up until after my birthday at the end of the month, but this year I might break that rule :o)
what sweet little trick or treaters - that's marvelous. I love that sideboard - gorgeous. We have a very clear rule on Christmas decorations - not until after Thanksgiving. But at least I get to keep up Halloween until then!
That's easy - "too early" is before my birthday (the 19th). So there you go - now you know, LOL.
what exactly do we do with the gurgling cod?? flowers? LOL have seen them here in the states and never thought twice about them
Oh, I totally understand about the "to do" list -- and I just added to mine yesterday. Am I insane?
