Storm on the way...

Can't believe that last week this time I was in the Bahamas.
Nassua Bahama
It was sunny and warm.  Today the islands are being hit with Hurricane Mathew.  Prayers are with them.
Small church on Half Moon Caye
Me on the tender back to or ship...
I live about 2 hours inland so we don't expect more than some rain and a bit of wind.  We are at the end of evacuation route.  I heard that all hotels in our area are booked!  I did volunteer a few hours at an evacuation shelter for pets...will even take some horses!

I figured it is appropriate to share a photo of my Ocean Waves quilt...

Hope all in Mathews path stay safe!  I'm going to go hide in my sewing room for awhile!  Maybe even finish up this Roll Roll Cotton boll!  Appropriate for the wind that is starting to kick up...

Looks like you had a lovely trip--glad you are not there now!
I'll bet you would enjoy getting that quilt put together. I know my oldest, unfinished Bonnie Mystery would be a satisfying finish for me!

Hang in there. Just got word my BIL is stuck in the Dominican Republic until Sunday and my relatives on the coast have evacuated to Sarasota. Stay safe!

My son is cruising as we speak--left Ft. Lauderdale bound for Grand Turk (they left there early), Dominican Republic (skipped altogether), Curacao (left early as it was election day and citizens only worked 1/2 day!!!) and in Aruba today. Hopefully Matthew's up the coast or out to sea when they return Sunday!!

Good that you are home, safe and sound. LOVE, the ocean wave QUILT! Not the coming storms.

We had snow today, in western Nebraska. Groannnnn

I pieced an Ocean Waves quilt in repro fabrics a long time ago. Never quilted it and I don't have it. I cannot remember to whom or where I donated it. I remember it being a lot of piecing and not laying perfectly flat.
