Stir crazy

I only have enough energy for a quick post. The cold I complained about in my last post got worse and I ended up flat on my back for the past 4 days! I'm afraid I may be there for at least two more. The worst part is how it effects my eyes. The fever sparks my optic neuritis which is both very painful and aggravating. I can't read nor can I watch TV. When it gets bad I start to have problems with color-blindness...disaster for a quilter!

Before I crashed I started Bonnie's mystery quilt. I finished step one with the 100 rail fences with the red/pink centers and started step two with the white and red corners. I hope to get back to these soon.

Sorry for the whiney post...will be better and posting much more interesting stuff soon.

Oh you poor thing. Have you tried Lucozade? I know it sounds silly, but Mum had 2 really bad bouts of flu/cold in the summer and it was the only thing that got her up and running again.

Keep warm and sending you a hug.

Not a whiney post at all...just a dear blogging friend in need of some good old fashioned hugs...some homemade chicken noodle soup...and lots of rest! Hope you get better soon!

I'd be sooo much whinier than that if I were in a similar situation. time for some books on tape/cd/ipod!

Oh yes, I agree with Tonya. Books on tape are the best way to get through the doldrums. Sure hope you feel better soonest!

I hope you are soon feeling better - Tonya's idea of an audio book sounds like a good way to help time pass a little bit faster.
Sometimes,it is hard to listen to what our body tells us and sometimes our body doesn't give us any other choice- Take care of yourself. It is not fun when you feel terrible. Sending good wishes to help you feel better,
Regards from a Western Canadian quilter,
Anna

So sorry you're feeling not well. Don't think of it as a whiney post---How else can we know about your predicament? I do hope you are feeling much better very soon.

I hope you are feeling better soon! It's never fun to be sick, but you have a quilting project in the works! The blocks you have done for the mystery look great!

Poor you - hope you're soon better. Such a bad time of year for "lurgies".

Whenever you can read this, I'm sending wishes for a speedy return to good health. It's miserable to be incapacitated, especially someone who is as active and creative as you normally are.

Not whiney at all! Take care of yourself -- and get some books on tape! (if you have to be sick and bed and can't read or watch tv -- listening is the ONLY option!). I hope you're feeling better soon.
