A finish!

Take a good look cause you don't see many of these on this blog...a completely finished quilt! Binding and everything!I have several in the binding basket...my goal this year is to reduce the number so quilts don't spill out of the top! This one fell on my head the other day (quilting poltergeist perhaps?) as I moved some things around in my sewing room. Guess it really was tired of being an "almost quilt."

Speaking of almost quilts...the Quilt for Leukemia project is now quilted and I will be putting the binding and label on this weekend! My goal is to get it in the mail on Monday morning. Could we have two finishes in one month? Be still my heart...
I have a new project going from the bits left over on the cutting table. It comes from the second Material Obsession book. It is a spider web with a crumb/random pieces connecting block. To give it some continuity I am using red in the center of each of the webs. I used lots of older fabrics for the foundation piecing so cleared some hard to move stash....I have a feeling this is going to be a really heavy quilt! And just in case you are wondering...this will not be finished this month....

Congrats and a well done! Your finished quilt looks lovely and is just in time for spring! How nice to have the leukemia quilt coming in for another finish as well. It will definitely be for a deserving purpose.

Love them all! Is the pattern for the pinwheel one with the green borders in the Material Obsession book? I'd love to make that one.

It's gorgeous - I'm not normally a big fan of green but this one is so cheerful & scrappy that I have been won over. A great finish - well done xx

Wow! Those are ALL stunning quilts. You do such good work. The bottom one is awesome and looks like a kaliedascope (I have no idea how to spell that one, but you know what I mean!)I might need to get that book as I have liked all the ones you've been making.

Nice! Congrats on your finish, and near finish. They both look great. I love the string quilt too.
I've almost finished a baby quilt for my nephew and his wife. Think I'll wait to send it after the baby is born. They may be so sure of that single ultrasound, but I don't trust it, lol. I've also been working on crumb blocks when I can't think but need to sew. They are heavy with all of the seams...and take lots of thread which leads to more bobbin winding.

Beautiful! You've got to join us at Finishing Stitches on joysquilts.blogspot.com. They've inspired me to get some UFOs finished.
