Quilt Guild...
Last night my evening quilt guild had their monthly meeting. As usual my favorite part was Show and Tell.
Lots of fabrics from a now closed LQS...Shannon used a Shop hop in Atlanta as an opportunity to boy lots of ocean or beach themed batiks then used the turning 20 pattern so she could enjoy them!
Can you believe this quilter made two of these quilts for her guest room? She started them at retreat last January and already has the tops done. On one she was very careful about "placing" the fabrics but on the second it was a "grab and sew"...they ended up looking the same. There is a lesson there...
Our youngest "member" made a pillowcase...
All and all a good time...

Loved sharing in the show and tell. Thanks! And hopefully, lesson learned--I struggle so with the "grab and sew" method. I have such a compulsion to plan. I need to let loose and give it a try!
I love Show and Tell! Thank you for sharing it with us too :-)
Interesting about the grab and sew...I spend alot of time organizing to make the blocks look random and often end up getting confused and the 'placement' muddles when I'm sewing them all together. I need to rethink that!
Thanks for sharing the pictures of show'n'tell. It's almost as good as being there! Neat quilts.
So much gooness1 LOVE the yellow hexagons, DALING!
(that's my word verification... dahling!
You belong to a very active group! they have varied tastes and styles, thanks for sharing their work!!!
Wonderful. I love show and tell. I visited a friend yesterday and we had a mini show and tell. I came home feeling quilt-happy!
Show and tell is the best and always full of inspiration - looks like fun!
I love seeing other people's quilts. So inspiring to see what others are coming up with.
Hard to tell from photos but isn't the hexagon vintage? Very cheery.
Thanks for the visit to your guild! Maggie's Happy Hexagons is a knock out!
If your quilt is pictured in a blog, does that increase its appraisal value? :)
Thank you for sharing the guild pix. My favorite part of a meeting is Show and Tell, too.
