What is another project...or two!

Does that stack of blocks look familiar? Yes, I started Bonnie's mystery quilt.

I had all these black fabrics still our from Halloween so it was sort of kismet...which is my way of saying it is easier to use them in the next project then fold them and put them away...Don't you just love this strip of millennium fabric I found in my scrap bin! I'm pretty sure this is the last piece but I can't swear to it! (My mystery is going to be red, black and green...goes with all the fabrics on my cutting table right now....)

I also am working on some Christmas projects...

I got this book, "Tis the Season," a few weeks ago. Love the fabric choices. For this project I am finally trying machine applique...not a huge fan yet but I am getting better and do like how much faster it comes together. For a quilt that will only be out a few weeks a year it does make sense...besides these trees would have been a real pain to needle-turn! There is a good chance I will have this done for Christmas (even with the mystery in-process...)

WTG on Bonnie's QSTs... such a tempting project but I have to postpone a decision until all the "must be done by Christmas" projects are finished.

Machine applique has its place... and seasonal items like your quilt is definitely one of them!

I'm planning to start Bonnie's mystery next weekend. This weekend I must finish the I-Spy quilt I'm making for my great-niece.

I have a love-hate relationship with machine applique. I love how fast it is, but I hate fusing.

I talked myself out of Bonnie's new mystery quilt project. I have two other quilts going right now and I don't need to add a third. I'll enjoy watching your progress on it.

Oh I will be watching your progress with Bonnie's mystery. I am doing it too, even though I have many others that need to be finished. But what the heck, what is one more right. It gets rid of all that fabric that I won't use in my other projects.

If you run out of the millenium fabric, I've got some over here just like it, but I think it's brown instead of black.

You are funny! Yes, it is easier to use the scraps than find a spot for them :)

I don't see any trees on that quilt, just stockings. What am I missing?

Great to have found another blogger that's doing Orca Bay.
