Food Festival

It has been a pretty dreary weekend here. I could do with a full day of sun right around now...I worked a bit on the border for my around th world quilt. Goldie has claimed it as hers - but then she does that for every quilt!

We did go to a fun food festival in Tewksbury this weekend. Lots of organic stalls...though to be honest we only had some Old Spot sausages and some local beer. I think I was overwhelmed by the choices. My main reason for going was to see Paul Rankin, a TV chef, do a cooking demonstration. The demonstration tent was very crowded though and when I went to sit down I was body checked by a young guy who really wanted that seat. Only I could get a twisted knee at a cooking demo!

We bought some lemon yogurt so I can make my blueberry lemon pound cake today. That will make me feel like spring!

Gotta get your sunshine from your lovely quilts! Goldie seems to agree. ;-)

Sorry you couldn't have a comfortable seat to watch your Chef! How rude of that dude to steal your chair. Some people....

Mmm...your pound cake sounds delightful! I can almost taste it.

I cannot believe some young guy would do that! How incredibly boorish.

Love your quilt -- and Goldie is right where any self-respecting kitty quilt helper would be! :-)

Goldie seems like the perfect quilter's kitten, shedding on all the quilts as you make them... :)

Like the quilt too! All the colors are just what you need on a dreary day.

Goldie is gorgeous - what a great pic. You do realize the quilts ARE all hers - she just lets you borrow them occasionally. oh dear, hope the knee heals quickly.

Thanks for the wonderful photos of Tewksbury. But sorry to hear you hurt your knee because some young guy was a jerk. How rude! I love your quilt top - what pretty, happy colors! And Goldie is gorgeous! My two cats claim all the quilts too - finished or not! And I too would love that recipe! Yum!
