Despite Brownie's best efforts to block my work late last night I put the final stitches into my double delight binding! My Dh has decided this one should also hang in the living room because it "goes" with the red white and blue quilt. Say what?! What-ever...as long as he likes them....This was my first time using the cheddar/gold with the purple and green. Love this combination with the shirting fabrics. The double delight was a mystery quilt on Bonnie Hunter's Quiltville site. What is truly amazing is I started and finished this quilt in the same calendar year! (A first I may add!)
I am going to give myself a binding break for the next couple of days. My hands are acting up a bit so I think a clean the sewing room or play in fabric day is called for.....

Congratulation! It's gorgeous...love the color combo with the cheddar. Have fun playing. Hugs, Finn
Boy oh boy, that is a wonderful Double Delight!! Mine did not work out right and is still in a shoebox lol.
beautiful quilt and Brownie looks wonderful on it. I guess when you're color blind everything goes together....
Your DD is wonderful! I didn't even attempt this one... for some reason I was really intimidated. But it looks so very lovely finished, I almost wish I had tried it. Congratulations on your finish, a personal best? WELL DONE!
Cheers,
Dionne
I was studying the fabrics and absolutely love the combination of fabrics. A lot of interest there! I soooo love scrappy. And the colors TOTALLY work. I love them muchly.
You know, well of course you do but I'm just sayin' ~ Brownie really shows off well here. She's the most Delight. Not that Double D isn't of course but we must give the proper due to the Model. :)
This is such a lovely quilt. Like Dionne, I didn't do this quilt but I have enjoyed seeing the ones that other's have completed.
I love your version of Double Delight! This, like so many others, is on my to-do list......maybe someday :-)
I also love the expression on MacBeth's face in your previous post - absolutely priceless!
This has to be my favorite one of these -- yes, it should be hung in the living room!
I love this quilt. It's beautiful. You are on a roll. Three finishes in a row. Wow! You are really working hard. A break is deserved. You do amazing work.
Ohhh my goodness, I just love your Double Delight. The purple is just lovely. I haven't started this one, but I'm thinking it's a 'must make' now.
*hugs*

Hello dahling! The quilt looks great!
;-) I love the cheddar color with purple!!
It all came together so wonderfully--love the color combination completely. Congrats on your "FFIAY" (first finish in a year)!
Your Double Delight is delightful! Congratulations! And Brownie is pretty gorgeous too.
And what a novel concept. . . start AND finish a quilt in the same year? That sure doesn't happen often around here! *grin*
YOur quilt is beautiful. Now I am motivated to get the backing done for mine so I can have it quilted.
The quilt is simply stunning. I've never even thought of using a gold colored fabric before, but oh my it really pops. I'm sure Brownie was trying to make sure you didn't work to hard - just trying to assist you like any good cat that quilts would, haha. You have really put out the beautiful quilts of late, I just love your work and color choices - inspiring!!
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooohhhhh! I just love it. You have inspired me to be braver with colour (next time LOL)
Wow, good job! Kudos on another finish too!
Brownie looks adorable! and the quilt is stunning! Nice work getting it done so quickly. Your hands do deserve a nice rest :-)
Wonderful quilt. I can't believe how busy you've been.
Isn't this a great quilt! did you add it to the gallery at Quiltvillechat?
Love your colors...congrats on the finish. Mine is still waiting for my LA.
Happy sewing
This is beautiful - wonderful color combination. This quilt is on my very long to- do list.
Your Double Delight is a beauty for sure!
It's magnificent! Great job...love your colour choices! I am just starting the quilting on my DD.
Great job! I like your color choices. And you finished it so quickly. Way to go!
Congratulation on the DD and the others. (Love the Log Cabin) I really like your color choice in the Double D. Mine was made almost as Bonnie's, it was a first for me because I always have to be different but I liked the idea of pink (not my color) brown, blue and gold together. The top is done but I'm waiting to find a flannel in a light color for the back as the batting is so thin everything shows through.
